Daniel Lee Bentley

Passed away on February 23, 2024

Daniel Lee Bentley

Daniel Lee Bentley, 66, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a short illness.  He was born October 24, 1957, in Honolulu, Hawaii to Carl Jack Bentley and Janice Spivey Bentley.  Daniel served in the U.S. Army, and later went on to work for Davlong Business Solutions, as Director of Operations.  He was a member of White Bluff Methodist Church, and active in Bible study groups.  Daniel was competitive, and an avid sportsman, playing tennis, enjoying Autocross at Hutchinson Island, shooting skeet at 17 South, and enjoyed his River Street Poker Club. 

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Danielle Bentley, and his sister, Jackie Lynn Bentley.  

Daniel is survived by is wife of 24 years, Peggy S. Bentley, his children, Dawn King (Ryan), Daniel C. Bentley, Elizabeth Cudebec (Kyle), and Katherine Womble (Josh), his grandchildren, Braeden King (Aly), Avery Bentley, Graecen King, Kelsen King, Emily Cudebec, Kolton Cudebec, Robbie Loper, Wyatt Womble, and Theo Womble, and his one great-grandson, Kaesen King.  Also surviving are his sisters, Shirley Ann Smith, and Tina Johnstone (Scott), his niece, Brooke Ellison, nephews, Scottie Johnstone, and Will Johnstone, many friends, and his Rottweiler, Lucy.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel.   

The Funeral Service will be Friday, March 1, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at White Bluff Methodist Church.

A private burial will be held at a later date.

Remembrances may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
